LifeBridge™ today announced the launch of Verion™, a modern policy administration platform built for life and annuity carriers.
The life and annuity market is evolving faster than the systems supporting it were designed to handle. Carriers are seeing growing demand for retirement income, indexed products, hybrid benefits, new distribution partnerships, and more personalized product structures. But for many carriers, every product change still becomes a development project, every new variation adds complexity, and every new distribution opportunity creates another set of integrations, rules, and operating dependencies.
Verion was built for a different model.
The platform helps carriers configure products, rates, riders, rules, servicing behavior, and lifecycle events on a governed policy administration foundation. Product, actuarial, operations, compliance, and technology teams can work from the same product model, with each transaction retaining the inputs, rules, calculation versions, approvals, and financial effects behind the result.
“The idea behind Verion is simple: products should be configuration, not code, and every number should be able to show its work,” said Manish Choudhary, Founder and CEO of LifeBridge. “Life and annuity carriers do not just need another system of record. They need policy administration built for change.”
Verion delivers three core benefits:
Accelerate Product and Distribution Innovation
Carriers need to respond to product and distribution opportunities without triggering a traditional development cycle every time. Verion helps teams configure and evolve products using governed, reusable product structures.
Carriers can introduce new riders, income features, crediting strategies, investment options, rate versions, state variations, and product availability rules more quickly. The platform also helps support channel and partner variation across the policy administration layer, including product availability, rider eligibility, lifecycle rules, servicing permissions, documents, policy events, and integration points.
Reduce the Cost, Complexity, and Risk of Change
On many legacy platforms, product variation becomes code variation. Over time, that creates custom branches, duplicated logic, release dependencies, and operational risk.
Verion replaces code-based product variation with a governed configuration model. Product definitions, rates, riders, rules, calculations, and lifecycle behavior can be configured, tested, approved, effective-dated, and audited. Each policy transaction is tied back to the product, rate, rule, and calculation versions used at that point in time.
Modernize Without Replacing Everything at Once
A multi-year core replacement is not the only path forward. Verion can be introduced through a new product, a block of business, a distribution partnership, or a specific capability. This allows carriers to prove value, manage implementation risk, and expand at a pace that works for the business.
Verion is configured across MYGA, FIA, RILA, and group variable annuity products, with support for complex guarantee and living-benefit product patterns including GLWB, GMWB, GMAB, and GMDB structures. The same configuration model is designed to extend across life, annuity, and retirement-income use cases, building toward one product model, one policyholder view, and one connected operating environment across the business.
Verion is part of the LifeBridge platform, which brings together policy administration, product configuration, advisor and consumer experiences, suitability, compensation, content, workflow, and governed AI capabilities for the life and annuity industry.
